devel/kpackage - The NetBSD Packages Collection

Installation and loading of additional content as packages

The Package framework lets the user install and load packages of non
binary content such as scripted extensions or graphic assets, as if
they were traditional plugins.

Binary packages can be installed with the high-level tool pkgin (which can be installed with pkg_add) or pkg_add(1) (installed by default). The NetBSD packages collection is also designed to permit easy installation from source.
