audio/darkice - The NetBSD Packages Collection

IceCast, IceCast2, and ShoutCast live audio streamer

DarkIce is a live audio streamer. It records audio from an audio interface
(e.g. sound card), encodes it and sends it to a streaming server using the
ShoutCast, IceCast (1.3.x and 2.x), or Darwin Streaming Server protocols.

Binary packages can be installed with the high-level tool pkgin (which can be installed with pkg_add) or pkg_add(1) (installed by default). The NetBSD packages collection is also designed to permit easy installation from source.

Available build options

Enable ALSA support.
Enable AAC decoding support using faac.
Enable support for the JACK audio server.
Use the lame encoder to create MP3 files.
Enable opus support.
Enable support for the PulseAudio sound server.
Enable libsamplerate support.
Enable MP2 support using twolame.
Enable Ogg Vorbis support.
